Lands of America data records appromixately $4 billion in land and ranches for sale in the Gem State. This constitutes appromixately 394,000 acres of Idaho land for sale. Of the 44 counties in the state, Kootenai County had the most land and acreage for sale. There were 901 acres of sold land in Idaho recorded last month through the Lands of America sales program. This reflects an increase in sales activity over data from the month before. Ada and Bonner County recorded the most land sales recently in the state. WalletHub, a personal finance website, has ranked the state among the ten best states for retirees based on factors including affordability, quality of life and health care. The state has also been ranked among the ten best states for the cost of living by U.S. News & World Report. In terms of size, Idaho is the country's 14th-largest state, covering an area of 83,574 square miles (53 million acres). In its entirety, 82,643 square miles of the state is land, while the remaining 926 square miles is made up of water. Wildlife to be found on land for sale in Idaho include mule deer, elk, whitetail deer, bear, moose, turkey, quail, and ducks. Fishermen have their pick of trout, bass, salmon, walleye, catfish, and pike.
