Lands of America recently had nearly $1 billion in land and other rural acreage for sale in the Gem State. This represents more than 304,000 acres of land for sale in Idaho. Of the 44 counties in Idaho, Bonner County had the most land for sale. The most expensive property listed for sale in Idaho on Lands of America recently was $62 million, while the average price of land for sale in Idaho was $1 million. There were 1,010 acres of sold land in Idaho recorded last month through the Lands of America sales program. This reflects an increase in sales activity over data from August 2018. The total value of this sold land and rural real estate was $4 million. Bonner County had the most land sales recently in the state. Idahoans take full advantage of their natural resources, with over half of the state's residents having fished and some 35 percent having hunted within a two-year span. All told, hunting, fishing, and trapping activities generate over $1 billion for the Idaho economy. And itâ€™s not just the locals who are in on the secret. Visitors flock to the state for world-class skiing, backpacking, and whitewater rafting, among other outdoor adventures. As befits a state with excellent hunting for game including whitetail deer, elk, mule deer, quail, and bear, hunting land was the most common type of land for sale in Idaho. In total, 82,643 square miles (99 percent) is made up of land, while the remaining 926 square miles comprises water.
