Internal data from Lands of America records almost $4 billion in land and rural real estate for sale in the Gem State, which covers almost 409,000 acres of land for sale in Idaho. Of the 44 counties in the state, Kootenai County had the most land and farms for sale. There were 647 acres of sold land in Idaho recorded in January 2019 through the Lands of America sales program. This reflects a 14 percent rise in sales activity over the previous month, with a combined land value of $3 million for all property and land sold in the state. In terms of size, Idaho is the country's 14th-largest state, covering an area of 83,574 square miles (53 million acres). In total, 82,643 square miles covers land area, while the remaining 926 square miles comprises water. Wildlife species to be found on land for sale in Idaho include mule deer, elk, whitetail deer, bear, moose, turkey, quail, and ducks. Anglers have their pick of trout, bass, salmon, catfish, walleye, and pike.
